[Short summary of what changed and why.]
This Privacy Policy describes how SHTF Fit ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app.
SHTF Fit does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind - no Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, Facebook SDK, AdMob, or anything similar is integrated into this app, and none is planned. We do use a standard error-reporting tool solely to catch and fix technical bugs in the app and backend - it is not used for advertising, tracking, or behavioral analytics of any kind, and no personal data is intentionally sent to it.
Notifications are the only permission this app ever requests, used solely for the optional daily workout reminder you can turn on or off yourself. SHTF Fit does not request location, camera, contacts, media library, or microphone access, because no feature in the app uses any of them.
SHTF Fit does not, and will never, display third-party advertisements.
Solely to operate the app: to run your account, personalize your workout program, and confirm your purchase. Your actual day-to-day progress is tracked locally by the app on your own device, not by us - see "Workout progress" above. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We will never share information that identifies you individually - your account details, health information, workout history, or any other personal data - with any third party, under any circumstances, for any reason.
Any health conditions you share during onboarding are used to flag exercises you may want to modify or discuss with a doctor, to moderate the intensity of specific exercises for your profile, and to personalize your workout program overall. For certain combinations of conditions that carry genuine, compounding risk, this information is also used to prevent onboarding from continuing at all - see our Terms of Service for the specifics. A record of which health conditions were on file and how the app responded is stored alongside your onboarding signature, as a permanent record of what the app knew and decided at that moment; it is not used for any other purpose, and it is kept even if you later delete your account (see "Your rights" below). This information is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not given to any third party for their own use. It is stored using the infrastructure described under "Data storage" below, solely to operate the app on your behalf.
Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication). Firebase's own privacy and security practices apply to how that infrastructure handles data in transit and at rest.
We block screenshots and screen recording throughout the app, both to protect your own privacy and to protect the app's content from being copied - with one deliberate exception: the Consistency Calendar screen, where screenshots are allowed specifically so you can save your own copy of your record, if you want one. See our FAQ for how the calendar's timing and history actually work.
The app includes an optional "Ko-fi" link for anyone who wants to support the creator beyond their purchase. Tapping it takes you to a separate, third-party website - we do not send any of your app data to it, and we have no visibility into whether you use it, how much you give, or any information you choose to share there. That's governed entirely by Ko-fi's own privacy policy, not this one.
If you choose to leave a rating or review in the app, it is submitted anonymously - it is never linked to your account, email, or identity. The star rating you give (not the written text) contributes to a running public tally shown in our Telegram channel, and we may occasionally share the written text of a review publicly (for example, pinned in our Telegram channel) to showcase real feedback - always without any information that could identify who wrote it. Leaving a review is entirely optional.
Two events generate an internal record: finishing onboarding and signing the disclaimer (which includes a record of your health conditions and the resulting risk assessment at that moment, as a permanent safety record - see "Health information" above), and starting a new 90-day block. Nothing about your individual daily workouts, health information, or day-to-day progress otherwise generates any internal record - see "Workout progress" above. We may also look at simple aggregate numbers from this data - like how many people have started a new block, or how many times our landing page has loaded - to understand how the app is being used overall. This is never broken down or shared in a way that identifies you individually.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app, or without the app on our account deletion page. This permanently removes your profile, progress, payment status record, login, and every other record linked to your account, including the internal records described under "Information we collect" and "Pregnancy".
The one exception is your signed safety record: your signed legal name, the date, the disclaimer version, the risk level the app worked out, and the health conditions you listed when you signed. It is a legal record of what you confirmed and what the app decided at that moment. It is used for nothing else and is never shared, and we keep it for as long as we may need it to respond to a legal claim.
Your purchase itself is held by Google Play or the App Store, not by us, so it stays with your store account. If you sign up again later, tap "Restore" on the unlock screen and your lifetime access can be restored. One purchase can be linked to one SHTF Fit account at a time. Deleting your account is not a refund - refunds are handled by the store you bought from, as described in our FAQ.
SHTF Fit is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
SHTF Fit is not designed or reviewed for use during pregnancy. If you select "Pregnant" as a health condition, that information is never saved to your regular profile - see our FAQ for what happens in the app in that case. We do keep a separate, minimal record - your account identifier, email, and the date - solely so we can check in with you later, well after the fact. This record is never used for marketing, is not part of the aggregate statistics described above, and is not accessible through the app itself. It is deleted if you delete your account.
